Prayer Please for My BFF's grandson

My BFF Marcia is leaving for a trip to California. Her grandbabes and son live there.
Grandson Hunter just turned 2 years old. Here he is , celebrating at Disney Land .
Hunter was diagnosed with a rare immuno-deficiency disease, Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome, in August of 2008.
He is scheduled to go to Seattle July 21st for a bone marrow transplant. He'll be in the hospital for 6 months after the procedure.

Would you PLEASE pray for Hunter and his family..a bone marrow transplant is soooooo hard for the receiver of the marrow.

I sure will miss My Marcia..as she will be staying to help with Harper, Hunter's baby sister. I won't see her until October.

An " About Me" Question & Answer

Hello, Dear Friend, It was fun reading about the things you have done. I'd like to know how you got to be a computer wiz? And, were you always artistic-and how long you've been selling your wares...and most important-what is your very favoritist of all flower?

This is from one of my Best Blog Friends...I just love her. So here's my answer

I am NOT a computer wiz..but what I know..I learned by doing ..with a bit of help here and there. I am the kind who can be shown once and usually able to do from there on.

I've always been artistic..as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always making something
with found things..writing strories and loving the garden.

My favorite thing was a rooster and a hen cut from plywood..and all types of seeds (ie: corn, dried beans etc) as feathers. We did those in Vacation Bible School when I was maybe 9. I wish I still had those. I remember them hanging in the kitchen at my parents house.
(see an example above)

I've been selling my creations since 2000, not very long

I'd have to say a lovely old rose & peonies are my favorite flower, although I love so many others.

Memories of my dad

Visiting his dad's bait shop before we went fishing. The smell of the earth just reeked out of the shop, with worms, crawdads, fishing lures, gear and minnows.

Summers fishing in Minnesota & fishing on the lake at night. I would bait my own hook and usually could get it off the hook after catching.

I loved fishing, dad loved it

raised me to enjoy it. He took his grandsons fishing. My son, Steve loved it,
they'd eat cold beans and fish into the evening. If you knew my dad & the opportunity came up, you'd go fishing with him .
We would go to the drive in and dad would let me play
before the movie started. He would even come and push me on the swing..

He loved to garden and he
made Sunday roasts for us. He took me to church whenever I wanted to
go. I never heard him say ONE curse word.

I loved the smell of his pipe
and an ocassional cigar. He wore house slippers, loved to snack on
popcorn in the evening. He loved Johnny Cash.

I miss him..and wish we'd
had more time to make more memories.

In the end, Dad's memories left him, he didn't know me and he died of the effects of Alzheimers and Parkinson's Disease on Aug. 5, 2008.
My dad raised me to be kind.

I know my dad is in Heaven, I hope remembers now, all those good years we had.

In memory of my father

William Eugene Cleaver

See ya in Heaven daddy!

Hair I Am

My oldest daughter , Nicole, colored it for me.
I had hoped it would make the back not
look so thin. It's growing slowly , the Whole Brain
Radiation is wicked. Some do not ever get their
hair back..so I count my blessings.

What I've been doing:

Gardening
Reading ~~Twilight, New Moon, now on Eclipse
Feeling pretty good
Eating well (but haven't gained any weight back..YEAH!!)
My next set of test are the first part of July and
back to the Oncologist for the results on 7/17.
Pray for no cancer!!

A VERY HARD DECISION

Update June 12th Friday

it was very peaceful. Rich and I sat on the floor..she laid down
& showed her our love as she drifted off. Seemed like
less than a minute she was gone. Last night our cat
who has a SOFT voice and doesn't hardly ever meow..woke
us up . She was walking around the main level crying loudly.
I think she was missing Hannah ..as they have NEVER been apart one
night. They slept on Hannah's bed, just like that picture above.

Today is a VERY sad day for Rich and me. We made the decision to put
our beloved collie down. Hannah Hope Warner.. She can barely get around at all.
She is 13 and we have had her since she was 8 weeks old.
She's been a wonderful companion and very loving

We will miss her so much.. my heart hurts thinking of it.
